Tenghilan SRI Training
Fifty farmers at Tenghilan began SRI training with AgroEcologic facilitators, organized by The Hon. Datuk Wilfred Bumburing. He is the Malaysian Federal Member of Parliament representing that district. The video below also features speeches made by DR H. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, the President of Indonesia and The Hon. Datuk Masidi Manjun, Sabah Minister for Tourism, Culture and the Environment.
The plant on the left is an example of SRI from Yoko Farm, while the one on the right was an older one, pulled from a nearby field in Tengilan.

Prof. Victor Lee showed the farmers what could be achieved with SRI.

YB Datuk Wilfred Bumburing, who organized this training program, is keen to see the rice farmers in his district to be successful with SRI.
